The IntraFuseT procedure, OJS' electric fusion welding technology, was developed as a replacement for steel bands. Through the implementation of this new, high-precision, fusion welding, the longitudinal overlap of the Sea Sleeve^® circumferential banding was completely eliminated. The resultant field joint is a smooth, hard coating providing a flush transition from concrete coating, end-to-end.

This solution insures that there is no need for steel forms, bands, or clips. Hot acrid fumes inherent with mastic materials have also been eradicated. The Sea Sleeve^® field joint is clean, efficient, and provides immediate protection to the pipeline and the environment.
