OJS designs, assembles, tests, commissions and operates the equipment used for protective coating applications. Our design team focuses on providing safe, fast and reliable equipment.

Automation is used extensively to reduce operator involvement and improve repeatability and reliability.

Planned maintenance programs are used for equipment when on site during operations and during inspection, repair and maintenance at OJS workshops in Houston and Batam, Indonesia.

Equipment spreads are split into Onpipe equipment and Offpipe Equipment. The Onpipe equipment is usually designed for the pipeline outside diameter. The Offpipe equipment is generic for the project and can support multiple sets on Onpipe equipment f the project has multiple diameter pipelines to be coated.

OJS provides 100% back-up of the Onpipe and Offpipe equipment. The supporting spares package is selected based upon reliability statistics, duration of the work and location of the work.

OJS High Speed Blast Equipment
Using grit the equipment blasts the external surface of the steel pipe joint area to remove contaminants and provide a profile to assist the bonding of the anti-corrosion coating on to the steel. The grit is recovered, filtered and re-used in a completely closed system. OJS has a patent on this equipment.

OJS Pre-heat Equipment
This equipment uses induction coils and inverters to heat the steel in the area to be coated (up to 230 deg C) as most anti-corrosion materials require heat to liquefy, create a bond and cure the material. The energy is provided from electrical inverters or diesel  generators with electrical coils placed on to the pipe in the area requiring pre-heat. OJS has inverters up to 450Kw which provide very fast cycle times.

OJS FBE/CMPP Powder Application Equipment
This equipment applies FBE powder and chemically modified polypropylene (CMPP)
onto the heated area of pipe to provide anti-corrosion.

OJS HDPF Injection Equipment
This equipment is used to inject HDPF into field joints.

OJS SPU Injection Equipment
This equipment is used to inject SPU or FJ 3000 into field joints.

OJS Flame Spray Equipment
This equipment applies Polypropylene on top of FBE anti-corrosion.
