The OJS high abrasion resistant permanent outer cladding dubbed the Deep Sea Abrasion Sleeve (DSAS) is typically used with the Densiflex^® SPU joint infill on TLPE or TLPP coated pipe.

The annular infill space is formed when the DSAS is circumferentially wrapped around the pipe. The sleeves longitudinal seam is then electrically fusion welded together. The circumferential welds permanently fuse the sleeve onto the parent PE or PP coating.

The DSAS covers the interface between the parent coating and SPU infill thereby providing an outstanding abrasion resistant field joint protection equal to or greater than the parent factory coating itself.
