OJS Awarded the Entire Langeled Project
June 2006
OJS selection by Allseas this month, to undertake the field joint services on its 2006 section of the Statoil Langeled Trunkline Project, completed the "set" of Langeled contracts for OJS.
In total OJS has been awarded three contracts covering the entire Langeled scope with over 1,100km of field joint infill on the pipeline from Norway to UK, the longest subsea pipeline in the world.
In order to complete this work OJS will procure, ship, provide logistical services and apply over 4,000 tonnes of High Density Polyurethane Foam (HDPF) infill material and 93,000 patented Sea Sleeve/Intrafuse forms. The work shall be performed onboard the LB 200 and Solitaire with the installation program spanning both the 2005 and 2006 pipelay seasons.

During the 465km Acergy pipelay program in 2005, OJS achieved a reliability performance of almost 100% "uptime". Only 8 minutes downtime was recorded in almost 8 months of pipelay operations onboard the LB 200 pipelay vessel.
In addition to the above, the field joint specification for the 2006 part of the trunkline called for an offshore industry first. The energy impact absorption specification for the HDPF was increased to 12.2 Kj compared to the 2005 requirement of 7 Kj. This called for significant re-formulation of the HDPF chemistry by OJS R & D department and extensive pre-qualification testing in Q4 2005.
The LB 200 is currently installing the 2006 pipelay scope and the Solitaire is due to commence mid year. Completion of pipelay is expected in Q4 this year.

Wins Largest Field Joint Infill Contract in the History of the Offshore
Pipeline Industry
(1,000 Km)
November 2004
OJS has been awarded two pipeline field joint infill contracts on the Ormen
Lange development project consisting of 900 km of 44"/42" dia.
trunkline and 100km of 42"/30" dia. trunkline between Norway
and the UK. The combined work provides the largest field joint infill award
to a single subcontractor the offshore industry has seen in it extensive
history.
The larger scope, the Langeled export system, was awarded by Stolt Offshore
AS and the second scope by Solitaire Marine Contractors S.A and Tog Mor
Marine Contractors S.A. using the LB 200, Solitaire and Tog Mor vessels
respectively. OJS will provide its patented Sea Sleeve and HDPF infill
system and its extensive experience of logistics management on large pipelay
projects.
The Langeled scope includes the installation of the longest subsea pipeline
in the world. The pipeline forms part of the Ormen Lange project and will
transport gas from Nyhamna in northern Norway to Easington, England and
will provide 20% of the UK gas requirements. Installation is planned from
March to September, in both 2005 and 2006.
The Solitaire and Tog Mor work will be performed during the 2005 pipelay
season with extensive additional pipelay planned for this field development
in 2006.

OJS Participates in the World Offshore Pipelay
Record
December 2003
During December 2003, OJS was part of a world record in
Field Joint Coating Services on board the Allseas pipelay vessel
Solitaire. OJS provided field joint services that resulted
in 9.2km (5.75m) of pipelay in a single day. This world record was achieved in
the Gulf of Mexico, on the Phoenix 18" O.D. (19.05mm W.T.) pipeline project using double joints and Fusion Bonded
Epoxy (FBE) anti-corrosion coating. OJS significantly contributed to the reduced cycle
time with its 'High Speed' automated field joint blasting, pre-heat and FBE coating
equipment and experienced personnel.
Paul Pool, President and Co-Founder of OJS, complimented
the team: "This
is a remarkable achievement by Allseas and OJS. OJS entered this market
sector less than one year ago. Delivering a world
record so soon demonstrates the effectiveness of our technology and the
commitment of our personnel. We look forward to rapidly expanding this service
to other regions in our industry."
In addition to the Phoenix project, OJS was awarded the Gunnison,
Marco Polo, and Cameron Highway field joint coating contracts by Allseas.
These projects total approximately 650 km (400 miles) of FBE coated pipelines
and SCR's installed from either the Solitaire or Lorelay
pipelay vessels in the Gulf of Mexico this
season.
