Mr. Lee is an offshore oil and gas industry sector marketing executive with more than twenty-eight years experience in a variety of positions. Mr. Lee has 30 years experience working for design and installation contractors servicing operator projects worldwide. Prior to joining OJS in 2003, he held commercial and technical management positions at Brown & Root, Allseas, Seatech Consultants, Subsea Offshore, Maersk Contractors and MCS International. Mr. Lee graduated from the University of Aston, in the United Kingdom, with a B.Sc in Civil Engineering. This was followed by three years offshore experience on platform module installation and pipelay projects. Mr. Lee then graduated with an M.Sc in Project Management from Cranfield School of Management in the UK.
Don BensonVice President of Operations
Mr. Benson has been in the offshore field joint contracting business since 1984. He began as a technician working for Joint Systems Corporation (JSC) applying polyurethane coatings on lay barges around the world. He later became a project manager for JSC before joining Offshore Joint Services. Mr. Benson worked his way up through the ranks at OJS, becoming Global Operations Manager and then Vice-President of Operations. Over the years, he has played a vital role in the development of state-of-the art PU Foam systems. Mr. Benson's hands-on experience is a vital asset to OJS and a great benefit to its clients around the world.
Mr. Simms has over 25 years of financial management with Ernst & Young, Baker Hughes, Service Corporation International, NuFlo Technologies and the Measurement Division of Cameron. Prior to joining OJS, he was the Vice President of Finance for the Measurement Division of Cameron. Mr. Simms graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a BBA in Accounting and is a Certified Public Accountant.
Mr. Paul started his career in field joint and custom coating in 1979 at Mallatite Plastics in the United Kingdom. He then worked on major pipeline and custom coating projects in South and Central America as well as in the Middle and Far East. At OJS, Mr. Paul specializes in the design and development of next-generation multi-layer systems.
Mr. Gowan, Co-Founder and Executive Vice President Contracts, brings more than twenty-six years of experience in construction to his position, with particular knowledge of pipelines, coatings and contracts. Notable experience before founding OJS in 1986 includes work for Amerada Hess Corporation in Houston, Texas as Special Project Manager and Morrison Knudsen Inc, as a Project Engineer. Mr. Gowan graduated from Texas Tech University with a B.S. in Civil Engineering Technology.
Mr. Duncan started his career in 1978 designing polymer bearings for civil engineering applications and marine fendering systems for docks and offshore structures. He became immersed in the offshore pipeline business in 1980 when he joined Webco, an Aberdeen (UK) company involved in innovative solutions for pipe coatings and linings, as Applications Engineer.
Mr. Duncan's standing within the industry grew as he progressed through Scapa, SCC, PIH Thermotite and Bredero Shaw designing reelable wet insulated systems and corresponding field joints in both thermoplastic and thermosetting materials.
